Has anyone seen anything more of this than the Whitepaper (http://www.microsoft.com/windowsserver2003/technologies/networking/nap/default.mspx)that Microsoft produced? Apparently its due in Longhorn, but not heard any more than that....
I saw a demonstration of this technology by a Microsoft consultant; it actually appeared to be very good. There are many things in the roadmap such as device quarantining when worms are detected, placing the machine onto a separate network segment if they are not patched fully and integrated patch management solutions.
The demonstration I saw was somewhat primitive and used early technology but already had the makings of some great features. Microsoft is really starting to focus on end user security as this is where most problems lie.
