What would you want to see in AGE in the future? My personal ones would be:

1. Proper Presentation Server integration

2. Fully customisable NavUI, with ability to change all aspects of the UI; especially as people moving from MSAM to AGE prefer the UI style in the NavUI.

3. Load balancing (not DNS round robin), if only Citrix owned a hardware company with a hardware load balancer....

4. MAC client support

5. Authentication and authorisation using Radius, LDAP...

What would you want to see?

PN CDA per instance configuration options (we sold MSAM for multi-farm aggrigation and now that story is much more difficult)
Launching of CPS apps from NavUI
Better handling of administrative password resets
Generic File/Registry EPA package (Look for file X or Key Y without Visual Studio)
Access Gateway 4.2?

That's my current short list.

Some of this is resolved in 4.2...

PN CDA per instance configuration options (we sold MSAM for multi-farm aggrigation and now that story is much more difficult) Multi farm support is available it then depends how you want to present this to the users.

Better handling of administrative password resets what are you looking for?
Generic File/Registry EPA package (Look for file X or Key Y without Visual Studio) The citrix watermark scan available for download from Citrix can check registry entries. We have also written a registry scan ourselves which could be easily amended for files. Out of interest, what is the issue with developing custom scans to do what you need?
Access Gateway 4.2? Was going to be the end of November, however Hurrican Wilma may have changed all that....

Lets mark it up some more...

It gets really confusing for the users to have 2 or more farms with disparate credential sets in a single PN-CDA. When it asks for a UID users often lock themselves out by using the wrong credentials. It would be nice to be able to separate them. Plus if one of your farms is down it keeps asking for credentials forever unless you hit cancel and then the user has to ga back into settings later to fix it.

Better handling of administrative password resets what are you looking for? If you do an admin reset of a user password MSAM would work right away. With AGe 4 it will ask for your previous password to unlock your page prefs and other customizations. Unfortunately 90% of users who have an admin reset done need it due to a forgotten password. The only way to resolve this is to blow away the user's AGe profile. We have a private fix in place right now that allows users to blow their own stuff away but this seems to me to be something that should have waited for Password Manager Web Edition or something.

As an integrator I often have customers who want to be able to detect X but don't want to spend the time to build a custom EPA for it. It would be nice to be able to look for the same things that the Access Gateway appliance does as an administrator as opposed to a developer. I was going to check up on the watermark EPA but I con't find it now ?!?!? I was under the impression that it would only scan certain subkeys.

I don't mind too much if it gets pushed back a bit BUT Citrix needs to let us know when it is comming. I have a group of customers who are already anoyed that they had to change a large number of plans due to the first slippage. If there is a second one (THAT THEY HEAR FROM CITRIX BEFORE THEIR PLATNIUM PARTNER KNOWS!!!) we might loose one or more of these customers. IT Departments want to be able to plan, we were told that this was complete solution that only needed a little work back in APRIL. Our customers tell us they feel more like they are going through a beta period.

Thanks for the info you had sone I didn't have yet. If you have any ears to bend you can see if there is any movement on the other fronts.

Don't mean to burst your bubble Rich, but we're hearing in Dublin that there is talk of a 4.3 out in late Q1-06 to fix the outstanding issues from 4.2. I mean, seperate ASC's for WI and AAC? come on......

3. LB? I mean I know the NetScaler isn't cheap, but what HardWare LB isn't? but this is what it is - isn't it? 5. Covered by 4.2/4.3
