Does anyone know the parameters for the McAfee scan - engineversion and patternversion. Is it 4.xxx and xxxx? It doesn't seem to be documented in the notes and its unclear as to what exactly the syntax should be.

Hi,
You are correct in that it is x.x for the engine and xxxx for the pattern file. The issue in the current scan is that it checks a registry key for this value and depending on the AV distribution used sometimes the engine is stored as x.x, sometimes it is xxxx. If it is stored as xxxx then the scan fails!

I have run into problems as you describe with the epa scan 3 times in recent weeks. Are citrix on the case with a fix or are they laying the blame at mcafee's door? I have spoken with them in the UK through our channel, but not to the US people. Do you know what their plans are?

There is a private hotfix for this which I am in the process of obtaining for some of my customers.
