Trying to keep an application intensive small business running smoothly gets harder and harder each day. Not only is everything changing hourly, it's either designed for enterprise environments, nifty web access to a few apps, or there's so much information (none directly applicable of course) you can't possibly make good decisions in the short time allotted between software changes.
Metaframe XP works pretty well for our tiny remote office with approx 50 published apps, and MSAM seemed a good choice for our Intranet, which is shared folder heavy. We don't need wireless access and have invested in good hardware protection and communications. I have my CCA XP, and CCEA XP, and now am pretty lost as to how to move forward. CAG is out, no need for it and it doesn't give us anything we need, and the SB "wizard" solution seems the same. I'm getting my CCA in PS 4 just so I can get a better grip on what's out there, but don't see anything that will help us with production, just cost more time and dollars. I love Citrix but am getting lost in a lot of development that doesn't pertain to folks like us. Should we hang onto Metaframe and MSAM until one of the new products makes sense or am I missing something?
Glad to see this new site! CDAExchange was a lifesaver during my early days
