While it only scratches the surface of what the Access Gateway can do, the Access Gateway can be used as a replacement for Secure Gateway. In fact many customers are using it in this way, to remove Windows from the DMZ.
As of the 4.0 release, you can use the Access Gateway in a "secure gateway" like mode, meaning that it can provide application access via Web Interface just like Secure Gateway does today. If you want to know how to do this I would check out the following knowledge base article from Citrix:

I have done this a few times and can tell you that it is quite easy to set up (takes only a few minutes with an existing WI site).

One more thing to add...
I this "secure gateway" like mode, there is no requirement for the Access Gateway Client on the desktop. The only client necessary is the ICA client.
Thanks that is a great link. Can this be used in the Kiosk mode? Does this allow you to use SafeWord on the Web Interface then? If we set our CAG up this way can we still allow certial user to use the VPN functionality?
Thanks again
Not sure about Kiosk mode, why would you want to do it this way?
As of AG 4.1 the AG does support Safeword for authentication.
As for use of the VPN, when the user authenticates to the AG, the user gets two options "Secure Desktop Access" or "Secure Application Access". Secure Desktop Access launches the Access Gateway client for true VPN like functionality. Secure Application Access redirects the user to the Web Interface for Secure Gateway like access.
The only point to remember is that if your using the Gateway appliance for Kiosk, VPN or CSG mode then you will need a Gateway ConCurrent User (CCU) license.
