We put this group up here because of the ability of Application Manager to contain unauthorised applicationd from running, which could mitigate some of the risks associated when allowing remote access.

In addition we think it would be a really good idea if Environment Manager was able to read scan results from AGE to set a policy for a user or group.

For example, how powerful could it be to disable specific application functions (e.g. the print button, or export function) based on a users location or device?

Anyway, if anyone from AppSense reads this, what do you think?

we are meeting with Appsense in the next few weeks with a view to working with them on developing exactly this technology.  appsense have already said that they have this technology 'in a form', but I haven't seen it.

How much of this technology does exist?  we would be happy to link the HICs to the app manager piece?  can this be done as yet?

Hi Brian,

We (Dilgenter/EPAFactory) created a proof of concept of this integration (through some custom components that we wrote) and took it to AppSense last year.  They like the integration and as you have been told are taking it forward.

Can't say much more then that at the moment though!
